This lovely hotel is conveniently located near the ski bus stop and to the nearest actual shop. the snowy forest near the hotel adds a nice touch. the room is comfortable, with easy-to-regulate temperature, and the bathroom is clean. the friendly service is a plus. Breakfast is great and there are a lot of facilities available such as an onsen, long Yukata for a 6' tall person, authentic Japanese experience, and a shuttle to Tazawako ski area.
One thing to keep in mind is that the price is a bit steep compared to what is offered.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a peaceful stream nearby. The wide choice of yukatas, including sizes for taller people, added to the authentic Japanese experience. The shuttle service to the ski area and railway station was reliable and convenient.
The front desk staff were friendly but not efficient, resulting in a long check-out process. The women's rotenburo could be seen from some of the rooms, making it important to stay under the roofed area.

Spent Christmas at this traditional Japanese hotel and had a great time. the onsen was definitely the highlight of the stay. It was clean, quiet, and very relaxing. the huge rooms were a plus, and we loved listening to the soothing sound of the nearby stream.
That the open-air bath was not marked properly, which made it confusing to find the correct one. the meals seemed very repetitive.

We had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel! The services offered were excellent for the price we paid. For just around 70 dollars per night, we got to enjoy a delicious all-you-can-eat breakfast, unlimited access to the onsen, and a comfortable tatami room with a yukata. After a long day of hiking in the nearby area, it was such a delight to come back to this hotel and be greeted by the very friendly and helpful staff. We felt truly taken care of during our stay.
This place is truly a gem and we would definitely recommend it to our family and friends.

As a hiker, the services offered at this hotel for the price were outstanding. For only around $70 per night, I had a huge room with easy-to-regulate temperature, delicious unlimited breakfast, and unlimited access to the onsen. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful, and the shuttle service to the ski area was reliable. Also, the hotel's location was conveniently close to a snowy forest and a bus stop.
Not one thing was unpleasant about my stay at this hotel.
